More on Management
I always said that management didn't interest me as a permanent position, but I spent a whole lot of time improving how we operated together as a team for the past two years.
I realized that I couldn't continue to keep a blind eye to how teams are managed. If I don't defend good software management practices, I'll just be forced to quit in frustration later on.
If I want to work in a healthy environment and make life a bit easier for the rest of the team, I have to improve our processes. Although most developers are good enough to develop okayish software, they won't prevent bad managers from making their projects a living hell.
